that sounds pretty normal to mee!
that's how my two brothers and myself where when we were teens..
LOL my parents would cook and buy lots of groceries, but of course we'd always complain "theres nothing to eat".. totally normal!
and i think it's normal for her to do that whole spending time with you thing.. i did that with my mom, and i mean i loved her buying me things, we did get a lot closer and eventually i stopped having her buy me things and when i got a job i bought her stuff
