Hi all. I haven't posted in a while because I have been so busy! My father in law passed away and there was so much to do! Indy went back to the surgeon yesterday and had his followup ultrasound to make sure both shunts were closed down and no new ones popped up. He has had 3 really normal bile acids since the second surgery so I was pretty hopeful. As it turned out, both shunts showed no activity and no new ones were seen so now he can be a normal dog! I am very grateful! He just had his second birthday in February and I am glad he will have the opportunity to have many more! Thanks to all on this website that have followed Indy through both of his liver shunt surgeries and been supportive!!
