I was on my way to work yesterday & it had rained just a little bit. Here in Dallas, there's so much oil & stuff on the roads, that if it only rains a little, the roads get very slick. They're usually ok if it rains a lot, though. Anyway, I was two blocks away from work, hydroplaned & hit someone that works for me. My tires never grabbed the pavement. I wasn't speeding & started to brake way before normal because I knew the road was damp. But I started sliding & couldn't do ANYTHING. I'm ok...sore but ok. My car on the other hand is not. It's got to have serious work done to it. What stinks about it all is that I use hand controls b/c of my height and therefore cannot get a rental. My car is my independence and when that is taken away from me, I get REALLY bummed.

I just went out and looked at it again this morning. So I'm really down right now. I was able to drive it home, but it's going to the shop Monday morning.

Sorry this was so long....guess I just needed to get it out b/c I'm so bummed.
