 Start now...
She is young....trim the top third of the hair on her ears with a mustache clipper, both inside and out....and that will relieve the weight......then if that does not work......get some tape at Sallys beauty salon.....and tape them up now...... you need to be diligent about this if you want them to stand...
I love it when the ears stand up.......then the long hair just flows down from the ears.....
