Glad you are taking your baby to the vet. I bought in Petsmart yesterday ear relief wash ( itch and odor control with clove oil) and ear relief dry (keeps ears fresh and dry) is made by veterinarian's best. I use it just to prevents any ear infection on Phoebe. I think it won't hurt to try.
