He has been to the vet, and we already give him antibiotics twice a day. He started to cough wednesday night, we saw the vet on thursday. We are using a humidifier too, but he still has long coughing sessions. We just want to be able to give him something to ease his coughs. The warm steam seems to help.
I will also do a thorough cleaning in the morning.
We are watching Mia closely, and we will take her to the vet with the first signs. So far there are no signs but I've read that the incubation period is 5-10 days. Mia has her vaccinations, which may not protect her against the cough, but I think her vaccinations prevent the cough from turning into pnemonia. Also, she is almost a year old now and has a better immune system than the little guy (we're hoping).
I don't know, we're doing our best to take care of them. I hope they will both be fine. It is so awful to wait for the cough to "run its course."
Thank you all for the advice. I really appreciate it.
