Nobella, if I were you, I would get a larger wire crate and put a bed for Rocco on one side, a pee pad on the other side, and put his food, water, and some toys in there for him. He'll have everything he needs right there in his little crate, he'll be separated from Coco so you won't have to worry, and he'll feel safe and secure in his little crate. That is what I did with Hootie and she still LOVES her crate to this day. She gets in there to get away from Lamar sometimes. Even though Coco is really calm and submissive and you may think she would never hurt Rocco, she could just play a little too rough and you would have a disaster. I say it's better to be safe than sorry and just separate them at first. Then you won't have to worry about keeping Coco out of his food, too!
