Grace's x-ray clearly shows 5 pups. One of them, however, had a much bigger head than the others. My vet measured and said that right now, 5-6 days before whelping, it's head is the same size as Grace's pelvis opening. She said that it should be ok, provided this pup is not the first one out.

She gave me her cell number to call her in case Grace begins labor at night and I think there is a problem.

How long after she starts labor should I suspect a problem? With her first litter, she threw all three pups within 1 1/2 hours of beginning labor.
