Hello all! I'm new the YT. I found this thread very interesting!
I have been married for 10 years and now have 2 young children (5 and 7.5 years old). We have never owned a pet and here is why:
1. When we were first married we were never home.
2. When we started having children I was busy with babies, and always on the go.
Now that my children are getting older they are becoming more independent. I am now a stay-at-home/homeschooling mom and are looking at getting a Yorkie this year. I have been doing tons of research, this is how I found this site (which I am now addicted too!
).
Anyway, I feel if you are not going to have time for a pet wait until you do. If you can be a stay-at-home mom when you have babies and can raise two at a time (fur-baby and skin-baby), then go for it!
This is just my opinion of course.
I love TY and am looking forward to finally getting my Yorkie!
