I understand it must be hard to feed two dogs different foods, but I definitly don't think it's healthy to have your adult dog on puppy food. It's especially made for puppies and is higher in fat than adult food. That is probably the reason why your 4 yr old has put on the weight. If you have a problem getting them to eat the right food then you may need to feed them at seperate times or have them eat in seperate areas. If you think your dog is too over weight you might want to check with your vet about a good diet plan. Good Luck!
