Patti...I just stumbled onto this thread this morning. Read your update and that certainly sounded more positive. I have had family members have strokes...and in all cases the hospital sent them into rehab prior to suggesting a hospice. All recovered almost fully...I say almost because some continued to have weakness on the one side the stroke affected, but they regained their speech and mental cacipities.
