It really depends on their age, personality and whether they are busy or not. Yorkies are Terriers and Terriers are very busy in general
They have a lot of work to do and very little time to relax and cuddle, at least that is what I think of mine
He is still young like 9 months old so he loves to explore even his own home, every single day and every single thing, the same things over and over again. One luggage bag can keep him busy for days checking it out and figuring it out
He even has to check out his own food bowl every day even if its empty. He has to overturn it which is hard because the bowl has a rubber base and see if there is anything hiding underneath it. He'll asks for a pet or two, asks to go for walks but seldom asks for cuddles
He is not hyper though, just busy
