Personally I don't sell my yorkies to a family with small children under the age of 8 again it's "MY" personal preference. I've turned down a family with 2 5 year old twins who also had a 6 year old and a 8 year old. If the family already has one then I would consider it. The family is welcome to come visit the yorkies so that I can see if the children are respectful in someone's home and how they are around the yorkies. If I see that they are not I will not place one in that home.
I do however, have my 1 year old grandbaby now living with us and I really have to watch her to make sure she doesn't grab a hold of the yorkies hair and she just loves the puppy we have. However, the puppy is in a pen and I don't let her out when the baby is playing in the floor. I think if you have yorkies with children it's ok as long as they are all supervised and not left alone so neither the child or yorkie get hurt and TEACH the children respect for animals and I believe things can be worked out.
