Pepper was neutered 3 months ago, he went in in the morning and the doctore advised us to leave him overnight, (I was working and hubby went to pick him up in the afternoon
). He was very groggy and just wanted to sleep. I picked him up the next day, he seemed very happy and doing great. He didn't get any meds for pain, but it didn't look like he was hurting at all. He was a little calmer for a day or two, paid no attention to his stitches (external) and actually soon I found myself having trouble keeping him from jumping all over the place like he always does
. The stitches were removed 2 weeks later and it took like a minute. Overall, I was stressing beforehand but all went so smooth it really turned out not to be a big deal. Good luck and I'm sure your baby will be fine
