We all have different experiences, and thankfully the majority of us that have posted on here have had good ones.
I've also had one or two bad ones that turned out okay myself, but otherwise they've all been just fine. Again, you just have to weigh the odds.
If the Yorkie puppy to be shipped is tiny for her/his age, then yeah of course the odds of them having an issue w/ hyperglycemia or the like goes up and I wouldn't do it for anything in the world. But if they're a proper weight for their age and in good health, there aren't any indicators that they would have an issue w/ hyperglycemia during/after their flight.
But it does happen even to the healthiest of dogs, just seldom thankfully.
Again, you're all absolutely right, just weigh your odds and make a choice. Me? Clearly I'm okay w/ it, but wouldn't push others to do it because even to this day I get nervous about the "what if's" when I drop those dogs off at the airport even though experience has told me that things will most likely be just fine!
