Oh, I am so sorry, I did not mean to be mean. I know it is a difficult situation for you. I just don't want you to have more problems in the future. The rescues I know don't allow it. Does your contract say anything about that?
Otherwise, I agree with others, for the time being you can restrict the dog's access. Some pet stores (like petsmart) sell very large gates, though I don't know how much more money you want to spend. It sucks that the dog clears it.
