The on-call vet said that there is nothing to worry about. He agreed with YorkieRose---wax is not toxic, and it will stay soft in the body and come out in the stools (he said to expect loose stools for awhile). He said it is similar to young kids eating crayons. He said that some candles are made with animal fat products and that may be why our little yorkie was attracted to it. Needless to say, we are moving our candles up high (about 5 ft) and out of the way. Thanks to everyone for their help.
