sounds like you need one today. Everyone I know loves dogs also. The only thing I get sometimes is I think people wonder about putting clothes on my dogs. But I don't care, I think they look cute.
As for me, I don't think anything of it if a couple chooses to not have children for one reason or another. We have friends that don't have any children and that's their business.
