Then ask theirselves these questions..1) are they wanting support, 2) do they want and need an answer and 3) do they want an OPINION. I always try to keep my opinions to myself unless my opinion is specifically asked for. I think this would help tremendously.

I had one rude response the other day when all I wanted was support, a shoulder to lean on.
