Missy does this too with us, nibbles on our fingers and toes until she starts biting.. i think she's testing her biting strength... but as soon as i do a high pitched puppy yelp, she starts licking and kissing instead because she thinks she actually hurt me.. so i feel i'm teaching her how hard she can bite...
I also notice when she's lying on my lap, she'll nibble on my finger then fall asleep... like it's her pacifier!!! that amazed me!!
