| Welcome to the group. Yorkies are great !!!! I am Mom to 6 Yorkies. One of my Yorkies I adopted 2 years ago from www.YTNR.com She is about 10 years old (exact DOB is unknown) you can read her story and see her picture on ytnr.com under adopted Yorkies, she is the 3 Yorkie listed. Her name is Robin. My youngest yorkie I bought from a breeder in Michigan that was recomended to me . His name is Carson, he was the most expensive Yorkie I have bought ($1500) but his personality, size (5 lbs) and looks are priceless !!! My only advice to you and this is very important, is when you get your puppy make sure it is in the Spring or Summer. Yorkie's are one of the hardest breed of dogs to potty train (I'm sure alot of people will agree) and trying to housebreak a puppy in the middle of winter can be a nightmare. I live in Cincinnati. Good luck with your puppy hunt, you may also look at www.petfinder.com and put in Yorkie and Ohio , (probably Dayton, ohio as being the closest ) also don't under any circumstances buy a Yorkie from a pet store they are usually puppy mill Yorkies that are way over priced and frequently unhealthy shortly after buying them.
