my vet would charge over 50% lower than most vets here in town for anything. It's a 30 min. drive but I feel it is worth it. They are the nicest people and have never had any probelms getting in to see the doc. But in ur circumstance, thats a big drive. I would call her again and see if there is something else you guys can settle on. Keep us updated.
