Well, that's great

You have someone to help with the training and spending time part, and you're working too. As long as you can buy the dog and also have a little set aside for an emergency (hopefully one will NOT happen) then shoot, you're good to go

I hope that you are not discouraged, everyone here only wants you to have a joyful experience with your puppy, and help you to find a nice healthy pup for you to love

Responsibility has nothing to do with age or whether you're going to school, but there does need to be an income to cover the extra expenses that these fur faces can rack up
Please don't be too upset with anyone here, we just all CARE about dogs AND their owners/potential owners and don't want anyone to suffer the heartache of having a sick or injured dog that needs expensive vet care that there's no money to pay for

Because most emergency vets won't treat your sick or hurt dog unless you can pay the estimated bill UP FRONT. I hate that and think it's wrong, but that's the way it is unfortunately.
Hang in there, hon, the perfect pup is out there for you, and you'll be SO very happy when it comes home with you. I cannot wait to celebrate that day right along with you and your boyfriend
