Well, you heard right, IF it's done properly, by a GOOD hairdresser, it's awesome. My best friend has African American hair, and it would never get longer than shoulder length (blown out straight). Since she started getting this process done, her hair is GORGEOUS, shiny, and down to her bra strap so far. She also used to need about 2 hours to blow her hair out, now it takes her 15 minutes. I'm going to her hair lady as soon as I can.
