Well if you got him from a petstore, most likely he is from a puppymill or a broker who got the puppy from a puppymill. There are very few petstores that sell puppies that don't come from puppymills. And the many pet stores that do sell puppies that came from puppymills certaintly aren't going to admit to having puppies from puppymills.
As for his mother being bred, don't jump to conclusions too soon. Some breeders like to breed two heat cycles in a row and then have the dam rest for two heat cycles while others breed one heat cycle and off the next. |
