Anyone know anything about getting your hair permanently straightened? I have thick hair and a perm that is growing out (my hair holds a perm for years, until it is cut off) I would like to get a long shag hairstyle, but need to have my hair straightened. I have heard conflicting arguments. Some say it is very bad and harmful to your hair, worse than a perm, and I have also heard that if done correctly, it will condition your hair while straightening. I have tried searching for info on the internet, but no help.
Also, I found a hair style that I like, but the picture is not of a real person, it looks almost like a cartoon. Anyone know of any good websites that have good pics of hair styles? Here is the website I found the long shag on (scroll down till you see "long shag")
