Kiba had the same problem when he was around that age. He started off doing really well on the training pad (Nature's Miracle Training pads always worked best for us), and then somewhere down the line he started having more and more "accidents." It got to the point where he was going wherever he pleased. Whenever you see that he needs to go, take him outside immediately. We started to spend a lot of time taking him outside and making sure he did his business out there before going back inside. He started getting used to it and it became his preferred habit to go outside. I don't know what it is, but maybe at some point they stop wanting to use the pee pads. Perhaps this is a good transitioning point to start steering him away from the pad, and training him to go outside. Hope this helps. |
