I don't think the CKC requires the parents to be registered CKC in order to register a dog, meaning your CKC female could have been accepted into the registry because she looked like a yorkie, or her parents could have been and then she would have automatically been accepted. It's hard to say. Do you have a history of her lines on her CKC papers? And we all know that the AKC will register dogs even if they aren't standard, so even if both the parents of your pups are standard yorkies, you really don't know much about their lineage. I'm sure your friend's puppy is still a wonderful pet. I would just explain to her that you really don't know exactly how puppies will turn out.
