Here is the next question. Why do the vets require a stool sample as part of a routine check. I never take one in unless I suspect worms.
Think about it this way. You take them in once a year for a check, what if they pick up worms a month after their check. If there is no indication of worms I don't see a need for a stool sample. I also don't see a need to do the expensive heart worm test if you have had them on heartworm meds.
I believe those are things they do just to run the bill up. They wanted to do a heartworm test on Chachi and I said no. He was on heartworm meds, he doesn't need the test. |
