I couldn't resist sharing this. A few years ago we had a dachshund and one day we were sitting on the sofa and she was with us. We got involved in whatever we were doing and later noticed that she was no longer there. So we started calling her name and she barked but didn't come. We started looking all around the sofa but couldn't find her. Finally, we figured out that she was INSIDE the sofa! She must have found a small hole in the lining under the cushions and made it big enough to squeeze herself in (dachshunds are burrowing animals). Needless to say we had to make the hole bigger to get her out!
