Yes, we can count ourselves lucky too! Tatum definitely does not get brushed daily..... more like every 5 days or so. She just really doesn't tangle.
I did have a similar problem though when she was a puppy. I was bathing her and then brushing. Well, the brush apparently wasn't getting down to the roots and when I realized this and tried combing for the first time, it was torture. I guess the best way to describe an easy way to do it is to pick at the mat with a comb, not just try to comb or brush it. You kinda hold the hair as close to the skin as you can with one hand and pick at the knot with the other hand (holding the comb). I would do this after a serious conditioning treatment..... try using Infusium 23 leave in conditioner too. Don't worry about conditioning too much. Just over-condition to get the knots out and then wash again if it's too much. Good luck!
