I have both a male and a female. And suprisingly, the myth about the female being more aloofish and more independent is not true according to my Theresa. Rese is always around me, always angry if I close the door to go to the bathroom, always sleeping right on my neck. She's always with me. Now Teddy.. total lovebug. He does mark (and I must admit that it is difficult potty training them.. still haven't mastered it ) but he is such a sweetie pie. He needs to be around me ALL THE TIME. I think there is no difference with regards to gender. It really depends on the type of personality each dog has. I just happened to have dogs that are very attached to me.. But, it just depends on the type of personality the dog has, imo.
