I flew to pick up Angel. It was really great to get to meet Mary and her son. Kirk was in the hospital recovering from by-pass surgery - but he still kept in contact with me!! I did not have a direct flight home as it was not an option. But on the first (& longer) flight, there were so few folks on the plane that Angel was out of the carrier and in my lap the whole time. I also cuddled her lots while in the airport. I don't feel this was a stressful environment for her at all and it gave us some time to bond. I would highly recommend going to get your baby if at all possible.
