I've done it both ways and I have to say that while Muffin came shipped to me healthy and happy, I really enjoyed the experience of going to get CoCo and having the time to bond with her on the airplane. I was lucky enough to have her lay on my chest during the flight (I had my jacket over her) and she just snuggled close and was as good as gold. It gave us the opportunity to get to know one another before she had came home to Muffin, Biscuit and Daddy. But best of all, I got to meet the breeder, Pam Hinkle, and I now consider her one of my friends. If you can go get the puppy, go get it. It's worth it!
