It does seem to be happening less frequently with Wrigley now, she's 8 months old, but it still does happen, I don't know if it's something they can outgrow. Let's hope! It happened quite a bit when we got her at 3 months to about 6 months.
Our vet said it can be caused from multiple things, stress, getting nervous, excitement. Also he said small dogs tend to keep their noses and mouths to the floor alot and pick up everything and can get something similar to cats getting hairballs.
