My maltese needed the distilled water for the staining and since the Yorkie drinks out of the same water dish.........he gets distilled too. It has all the minerals and vitamins taken out so it is just wet stuff. But I fell that the dog food today on the market can really provide all the minerals and vitamins they both need. I do add a little unfiltered apple cider to their water too for the staining and was amazed at the improvement of both their tear staining and eye boogies as you call them (LOL). I have seen a "tremendous" difference in both of their eyes!
Hubby and I have been drinking ONLY (and I mean ALWAYS) distilled water since 1985!!!! That's 22 years!
