If you are trying to "crate train" then just ignore the whining. He will figure it out. I have had my Izzy 1 week and 1 day. When I first put her in the crate she whined like crazy. After 2 days she figured it out. She goes in there at night easily now and sleeps all evening. I can even put her in there several times a day for naps and she is fine with it. Sometimes she whines just a bit if she wants to play but she will figure it out that I am not opening the door and she will play with her toys. Don't give in.
