I have a 10 month old puppy who was really matted. He hates to be brushed!My vet and groomer that I used for my Maltese (before he died at the age of 14yr.)said I would need to shave him and start over.I refused to do this however,in a weak moment three weeks ago I gave in. I took him to Petsmart in Bolingbrook. I stayed and watched as they shaved my beautiful puppy- he looks sooooo bad right now. AND his hair is sure taking a long time to grow back! So to answer your question, the groomers I used to use in this area were TailWaggers in Naperville (won't go back since they wanted to shave him at age 5 months!) and Bark a lounge on Rte. 59 in Aurora- they seemed really great and will go back there now that I have done the dastly deed of started over. Can't wait until he looks like a yorkie again instead of a chihauha.
