Vixxen does that often. But that will also follow a period of her not eating and then if I don't catch it, she will vomit. I admitted her into the hospital 2 or 3 times before I figured her out and learned how to reverse this for her. I have no idea what causes it though...
So if she has not eaten in a while, for whatever reason because I free feed as well, her tummy rumbles SO very loud. I now know she probably hasn't eaten and the only thing I can do is coax her to eat with baby hotdogs!! Its crazy. She loves them and when she won't eat those, I know her tummy is upset! But I have to "force" her to eat some hotdog by making her taste it or even just the juice from it...it seems once she has that tiny bit of flavor on her tongue, it entices her to eat more on her own and then she is fine!! Crazy huh?? So I'm not sure if your baby is having any of these other symtoms, but if so, try that!!!
