I agree, owning those little cuties can hit you on the wallet... Even if you have all the necessities -bed, pads, toys and food, there are still extras to be considered, along with regular vet visits - in the first 2-3 months I had Pepper, I went to the vet every 2 weeks or so, just the vaccines cost me 300-400. I had one emergency (vaccine allergy) and my pup ended in ER for 24 hours, that was well over 500. And he is a healthy one, no other vet emergencies, he hasn't got sick (knock on wood). Then there was neutering, a couple hundred as well. Regular grooming costs, and some places charge you arm and leg. It takes a little to buy a dog, it's the costs afterwards that add up, you need to consider that. It's not only with Yorkies, dogs are pricey, I used to have a German Sheperd that had ear problems all her life, had to be treated a few times a year, then needed a costly surgery when old...
