My GD wants to get a third hole in her ears (she's 11)...my DD says she has too many holes in her head already & no more....That got me thinking about the subject of pierced ears...it was such a BIG deal when I was young(er)... now babies have their ears done....Lets take a trip down memory lane for a moment
...when I was about 13 I wanted to do mine so bad ( of course I had to fit in)...dad says "no way"......so what's a defiant teen to do...ya , you guessed it....I did it anyway..he never looks at my ears anyway
.... I couldn't drive so there where these "self-piercing ear-rings" at the local drug store....I put them on my ears... they where circles & one end was sharp & I have to squeeze them every day til they eventually work their way through
Would that be considered torture now a days
I finally got my holes...& dad didn't really care after the fact.... When did you pierce yours & was it a big deal?
