If your remote won't turn on the car alarm from your bedroom - hold the remote up to your head, touching your head and push the button. Your head acts as an antenna and it will likely activate the horn.
You can use this trick in the parking lot when you have lost your car - oh oh, I mean forgotten where you parked
It will give you more distance to turn on the alarm and find your car.
My son-in-law told me about this - it works! My remote won't turn on the car horn from my bedroom, unless I hold the remote up to my head - go figure!
