I used to give my Cocker Spaniel something very similar any time we had to take her in the car because she had SEVERE anxiety and would literally almost stop breathing when we put her in the car (her Trachea would close) because she was so nervous. My vet recommended that we give them to her any time we had to take her in the car, so we did and they worked WONDERS! She would just lay there (alot of times she would sleep) and not say a thing. It just made her very groggy and "unaware" that she was actually in the car. I hated to give here these, and we only did it when we absolutely HAD to take her in the car with us (which wasn't very often at all) - but they really came in handy for emergencies such as the time we had to evacuate due to a Hurricane that was headed our way. We had to leave town and drive 6 hours away and we took all of our pets - so giving her one of those pills then was an absolute MUST because if not, we would have lost her on the way there. There is no way on earth she would have been able to be in the car for 6 hours, she would have ended up dying because she got herself so worked up and nervous. Her Trachea would have closed and she would have started running a very high fever as she always did and we would have lost her. So those pills really worked WONDERS for us. We just gave them to her about 15-20 minutes or so before we had to leave and all was well
