Oh yes, I think you are smart to wait until she has finished her series of puppy shots! Absolutely. I never let mine touch the ground until they were finished - only in my own backyard where I felt I knew what had been back there and that it was safe.
not sure about the milk thing? Ive never given mine milk but that sounds maybe fatty for her? Not sure!
