The only reason I went with a female is because of the marking issues my toy poodle (RIP) had. I hated that part of him being male! I went hunting for a female poodle but fell in love with this guy and couldn't resist. This time when I went looking at Yorkies, I asked to ONLY see the females. I know not all males mark BUT it would be my hard luck to get one that does no matter what precautions we would take (neutering and training) and after going through that once, I just didn't want to take the chance. I do think my male poodle was maybe just a little more "kissy" than Tatum (our female Yorkie) but Tatum is so totally a snuggle bug (as was he).
