Wow -- very hard-hitting message and thanks for sending it. I think maybe I needed that reminder. At the beginning everyone in this country, both sides of Congress were supporting the war. But as we continue to lose good young people without seeing progress it is hard to stay committed. It has recently become even harder for me personally, as my nephew is serving in Iraq. His unit has seen so much action and he has already been wounded but still on duty. I want to say -- stop it all now and bring them home. But the bigger picture is there -- we need to make progress, meet some goals and make those lives lost not in vain. I hope we can bring them all home soon but I am not for closing the blinds either. |
