My lex is 9 1/2 lbs and my new pup lulu is 2 lbs. The nipping is them playing. If you see serious fights then that is something else. Little dogs tend to forget that they are little and want to assert their dominance over a bigger dog (remember they think they are great dane size) and also he is showing the newbie who is boss.
My dad's shih tzu oreo who is 11 lbs rules the roost there over the other dogs that are 100, 85 and 125 lbs respectively.
Hey remember Sophie is also a baby still so that nipping is still part of her play routine.
