The sickly boy has the alopecia gene and the other may or may not. Either way, the sickly one will most likely continue to have health problems especially skin. He will need sunscreens and special hypoallergenic foods. These are from my experience and I am certainly no expert but that baby should stay with them and be loved for the sweet little being he is. There will probably come a time when that decision must be made but til then...do not breed the parents together or from the same lines!!! This gene is not always individual puppy contained. The lines from both parents are carriers of the gene. This is a sad message but I mean it to be informative. Love that baby for as long as he is comfortable...
