Does anyone know if that standard plan will pay anything towards the fecal test and any meds that Gracie might need? I know it won't pay for special food or supplements. The policy just does not clearly state one way or the other. Gracie has 3 1/2 months left on her puppy package I bought from the Vet so the office visit is already paid for. Thanks for any info you can give.
I've got the Superior Plan, which covers the same as the Standard, but boasts higher reimbursements. The fecal exam is covered by their routine care endorsement, a rider you can opt to add on for about $9 a month. The base medical plans do not cover fecal tests, as they try to encourage this as a yearly preventive care procedure. However, if the test is done when something is obviously wrong with the pet, they'll still reimburse if you have the rider. Did that make sense??
