 update on surgery
Well Mimi's surgery is over. Her little leg has been rubbed raw by the splint. They tell me it looks like a sunburn. She is not eating well so she will have to stay another night. This has been quite the experience. There are a lot of things I would have done differently. When I spoke to the surgeon last night she told me there was very little left of the bone (above the ankle) to work with but to hope for the best. My heart feels like it weights a ton. I don't know if it would be a good thing to go and see her today or just wait until tomorrow when I pick her up. I don't want her to think I am abandoning her by showing up and then leaving. |
